Studi Komposisi Hasil Tangkapan Rawai Pada Waktu Sebelum Tengah Malam Dan Setelah Tengah Malam Di Perairan Desa Mekong Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Barat Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Propinsi Riau

This research was conducted on July 2010 in the Mekong Village waters,
Riau and aims to understand the difference of fish composition that were caught
using long line operated before and after midnight. Sampling was conducted
everyday for a 7 days period. Fishes caught were identified, each species was
weight and fish composition was calculated based on its weight.
Results shown that there is no difference on fish composition that was
caught before and after midnight, they were consisted of 6 species namely Lates
sp, Trygon sephen, Arius sp, Plicofollis sp, Chinerius sp, Tetradon
palembangensis. Total fish weight, however, was different, it was 32.1 kg before
midnight and 13.2 kg after midnight. Based on data obtained, it can be concluded
that the difference of long line operational time does not affect fish composition,
but it affects total fish catch.
