Pemetaan Tempat Penampungan Sementara (Tps) Ilegal Menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (Sig) Di Kota Dumai

In 2018 the population in Dumai City was 303,292 people with a population
growth rate of 2.74%. With population growth, the resulting waste will also
increase, causing an increase in the volume of waste that is not managed. Waste
management facilities such as Illegal dumping provided by the government have
not been able to fully serve the entire community in Dumai City. This resulted in
the emergence of illegal TPS due to the practice of illegal disposal of garbage by
the local community. The purpose of this study is to map the distribution of Illegal
dumping, Calculate Illegal dumping volume and analyze Geophysical,
Anthropogenic and Availability of Legal dumping. This research was conducted
by field census at the study location to find out the existence of Illegal dumping,
then the coordinates of the Illegal dumping are measured using Global Positioning
System (GPS), then plotting coordinates using Geographic Information System
(GIS) software 10.3. The results were found as many as 46 Illegal dumping Points
in the study area. In the results of anthropogenic factor analysis, based on the level
of education, the number of Illegal dumping in Dumai City increased with the
increasing number of respondents with an elementary school level of 25
inhabitants (26%), 27 junior high schools (28%), 33 senior high schools (34%)
and decreased at education level Diploma3 13 people (13%), based on the type of
work, the number of illegal dumping in Dumai City increased with the increase in
respondents with the type of private work 22 people (22%), traders 23 people
(23%), households 41 people (42% ) and decreased in respondents with
occupation of TNI / POLRI/PNS 5 people (5%), Retired 7 people (7%), based on
population density, at the study location population density did not affect the
number of illegal dumping found. In the results of the analysis of geophysical
factors, based on the type of road found 20 Illegal dumping points on the Arterial
road, 2 points on the Collector road and 24 points on the Local road. Based on the
category of land types, 29 points were found on the shoulder of the road and 17
points on vacant land. The effect of the distance from the river, was not found
TPS located at a distance of less than 15 m from the riverbank.
