Pemetaan Perubahan Garis Pantai Berdasarkan Kegiatan Antropogenik Di Wilayah Pesisir Pulau Tebing Tinggi, Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti, Riau
ABSTRACT
Coastline changes can occur due to natural factors and land use. In the coastal area of
Meranti Islands Regency, Riau Province, land use factors are more dominant in
influencing shoreline changes. The study method used is a quantitative method with a
multi-temporal approach to satellite imagery using Digital Shoreline Analysis System
(DSAS) and End Point Rate (EPR) software to calculate the rate of shoreline change. The
field survey was conducted to obtain primary data and field verification included
interviews related to abrasion and accretion in the study area. Based on calculations for 3
decades (1991-2021) there has been 186.60 m (6.22 m/year) abrasion and 55.20 m (1.84
m/year) accretion. The highest abrasion occurred in the Mekong Village area, whereas the
highest accretion occurred on the coast of the Selatpanjang area. The increase in land use
over the last 5 years (2016-2020) which was dominated by agricultural and residential
activities had an impact on the change in the coastline of Tebing Tinggi Island.
Keywords: Coastline change, Abrasion, Accretion and Land use.
