Struktur Komunitas Makrozoobentos Di Pulau Setan Kawasan Wisata Mandeh Pesisir Selatan Sumatera Barat
ABSTRACT
Macrozoobenthos are aquatic organisms that live on the bottom of the water.
Macrozoobenthos can be tolerant or sensitive to environmental changes. Organisms
whose lives are relatively sedentary and have varying adaptability to environmental
conditions. However, there is no information about macrozoobenthos on Devil's
Island in the Mandeh Tourism Area. To find out/understand information about the
density and distribution pattern of macrozoobenthos on Devil's Island, this research
was carried out in January 2022. The sampling area was in the Intertidal Zone of
Devil's Island. Sampling was carried out at three stations, each station was divided
into three transects. Macrozoobenthos sampling was carried out using a 1mm x
1mm sieve. The movement of macrozoobenthos to the gravel substrate is relatively
slow to avoid the waves crashing. Macrozoobenthos samples were then identified.
The density of macrozoobenthos on Devil's Island ranges from 2.89-3.89 ind/m2.
Station 2 has a higher density of bivalves, namely 3.89 Ind/m2, the calculation of
macrozoobenthos in Pulau Setan, obtained data on the distribution pattern of
macrozoobenthos in groups.
