ABSTRACT
The problem in the cultivation of carp in freshwater and brackishwater is
death caused by bacteria and viruses. Efforts to prevent disease can be done by
increasing the immunity of fish. This study aims to determine the hematology of
carp (Cyprinus carpio) fed with the addition of noni leaf powder (Morinda
citrifolia) as a medicinal plant material that can improve the immune system of carp
in freshwater and brackish water environments. This research was conducted from
February to April 2022 The research method used is an experimental method by
comparing goldfish fed with a mixture of phytoimmunostimulant kept in fresh and
brackish water. Based on the research that has been done, phytoimmunostimulant
noni leaf powder can improve the hematology and growth of carp reared in fresh
and brackish water. The increase in the profile of carp erythrocytes, namely total
erythrocytes, hemoglobin levels and hematocrit levels ranged from 1.30-1.68 x106
mm/cell3, 6.2-8 g/dL and 27-32%.
