ABSTRAC
Profitability is very important to apply because to carry out its life a company must be in a favorable condition. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of good corporate governance, leverage, and firm size on profitability. The research population is banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018 - 2020 as many as 46 companies. The selection of research samples was based on the purposive sampling method with the criteria of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and had gone public before 2018. Obtained a total sample of 34 companies. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that independent commissioners have an effect on profitability. The audit committee has an effect on profitability. Leverage has no effect on profitability. Firm size has an effect on profitability. The novelty of the research is the addition of the company size variable because through this variable it can represent the value of a company's profitability.
