Analisis Kelimpahan Sampah Pantai Di Kawasan Ekosistem Mangrove Kecamatan Dumai Barat Kota Dumai
Abstract
Beach litter are all materials in the form of solids that are not found naturally (a
product of human activities) in water areas (oceans, oceans, beaches) and can pose
a direct threat to the condition and productivity of water areas and require certain
specific actions to prevent and minimize negative effects. This research was
conducted in March 2023. Field data collection was carried out in the Sea Coastal
area of West Dumai District, Dumai City, Riau Province. The research aims to
analyze the type, weight and differences in the abundance of marine debris. The
method used in this study is a survey method by taking data directly in the field.
This data collection was carried out at three stations, namely the estuary of the
Sungai Masjid, the Purnama beach, and the Bandar Bakau. Data collection on the
abundance of marine debris per station used transects with a length of 100m
consisting of 5 plots with a size of 5x5m². The results showed that the types of
marine debris consisted of plastic, glass, metal, wood, and others (unidentified).
The total weight of marine debris on weekdays is 6.164g and on weekends it is
4.893g. Based on the results of the one way annova test, a significant value of 0.87
was obtained, meaning that there was no difference in the abundance of marine
debris between stations.
