Kajian Spasial Perubahan Tutupan Lahan Mangrove Di Kecamatan Bantan, Bengkalis

ABSTRACT
This study was conducted in March-April 2023 in Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to analyze changes in land cover area of mangrove and mangrove vegetation index in Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The method used in this study is a survey method with interpretation of Landsat based on images taken from different times at intervals of 5 years, namely from 2003 to 2023. The category of density obtained in the field was analyzed based on Minister of Anvironment Decree No. 201 of 2004 concerning Standard Criteria and Guidelines for Mangrove Damage Determination. The results showed that environmental ecological conditions support the existence of mangroves. Morphological identification was obtained by 13 species of mangrove vegetation. The highest mangrove cover area in 2003 with an area of mangrove vegetation reaching 4303,117 Ha and there was a decline with the lowest number in 2023 with a vegetation area of 3452,657 Ha. The NDVI value in Bantan District is classified as rare with a value of -0.10-0.32, medium category with a value of 0,33-0,42, and a dense category of 0,43-1.
