Rancang Bangun Sistem Pendeteksi Kebocoran Pipa Air Berbasis Water Flow Sensor
ABSTRACT
Leakage in water pipe systems is a critical issue that must not be underestimated in terms of its handling and resolution. If pipe leaks are not addressed promptly, they can lead to adverse effects such as decreased water flow efficiency and, in some cases, complete interruption of water distribution. Therefore, a water pipe leakage detection system is essential for residential applications. In this study, a prototype of a water leakage detection system was developed using a four-branch and T-branch pipe configuration to simulate typical household plumbing conditions. The system employs water flow meter sensors to detect leaks by comparing the differences in water flow rate readings between sensors.
The water flow meter, which operates based on the Hall effect principle, is well-suited for this task due to its ability to accurately measure water flow rates, with a reading accuracy of 9.9%. The system is integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) using the Blynk platform, allowing users to monitor and manage the system easily via mobile devices. From ten conducted trials, the system successfully detected leaks with a 100% success rate. The data transmission delay from the microcontroller to Blynk was recorded at an average of 67 milliseconds.
