Modifikasi Dan Analisis Kualitas Produk Mesin Penekuk Pipa Gerak Horizontal
ABSTRACT
This study aims to modify and analyze the product quality of a horizontal-motion hydraulic pipe bending machine in order to improve the tool’s ability to achieve a bending angle of up to 90°, which was previously unattainable. The modification was carried out by adding an auxiliary tool to the hydraulic pendulum of the jack, with the aim of extending the pendulum stroke without altering the main structure of the machine. Testing was conducted on black galvanized pipes with diameters of 1 inch and 2 inches, and a thickness of 2.3 mm, using support span variations of 350 mm, 413 mm, and 480 mm, as well as bending angle variations of 140°, 150°, and 160°. The results of the study show that the greater the bending angle and support span, the smaller the ovality value, indicating less shape deformation and better product quality.
