Analisa Defect Pada Mesin Cut- Size A Dan Mesin Cut-Size B Dengan Menggunakan Metode Static Quality Control
ABSTRACT
The cut-size machine is a tool used to produce standard paper commonly used in
everyday document printing. However, in the production process, there are still
defects that result in poor paper quality and do not meet the specified quality
specifications. Therefore, this study entitled "Defect Analysis on Cut-size Machine
A and Cut-size Machine B with Quality Control Method" aims to identify the types
of defects in paper, apply quality control methods to determine standard budgets,
analyze the factors causing defects, and propose improvements to reduce defects
and increase production results. Based on the results of the analysis using the
Pareto diagram, it shows that the highest defects on cut-size machines A and B
between October and January are bad folding box, bad folding lid, and bad cutting.
Control charts are used to monitor the process by visualizing data variations. On
the cut-size machine A, defects in October and November show that the bad folding
box, bad folding lid, and bad cutting defects are classified as normal defects, but
abnormality in December and January. Meanwhile, the analysis on the cut-size
machine B shows that in October it is classified as normal, but abnormality in
November-January. Furthermore, an analysis is carried out using a fishbone
diagram to identify the cause of the defect, root cause, and appropriate repair
solutions.
