Hubungan Intravesical Prostatic Protrusion Dan Uroflowmetry Pada Pasien Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy Dengan Protrusion Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia is a condition characterized by enlargement of the prostate gland, often related to aging, and is one of the factors causes urinary retention in prostate enlargement which can be seen from Intravesical Prostatic Protrusion (IPP). Uroflowmetry examination is a non-invasive test that determines the rate of urine discharge during urination, divided by the duration of urination (ml/second). This study aimed to determine the relationship between IPP and Uroflowmetry in BPH patients. The design of this study was observational with a cross sectional approach. The subject were BPH patients at the Arifin Achmad Hospital polyclinic in Riau province who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The independent variable was Intravesical Prostatic Protrusion and the dependent variable was the result of Uroflowmetry examination. Data were analysis using Spearman tests. The results of the study showed that with the most common age range in BPH was 60-69 years, with 5 patients (50%). The most frequent IPP grade II, with and average of 15.50±5.63 mm. The average results of the Uroflowmetry was 12.80±7.421 ml/second. the Spearman correlation test showed r = -0.38 and the value of p = 0.272 (>0.05) indicating that there was no significant relationship between IPP and Uroflowmetry results in BPH patients.
