Evaluasi Biaya Dan Waktu Menggunakan Metode Earned Value (Studi Kasus: Proyek Pembangunan Gedung Integrated Classroom Universitas Riau)
ABSTRACT
During the project implementation, several challenges often arise that can lead to
delays or cost overruns. Therefore, an effective control system, such as Earned
Value Management (EVM), is needed to integrate time, cost, and progress to
monitor the overall project performance. The objective of this research is to
evaluate the cost and time of the Physical Development of Package CWR-01 UNRI
Integrated Classroom Building using the Earned Value method processed through
Microsoft Project software. Given the limitations of the available actual cost data,
this study utilizes scale weighting as a substitute for actual costs. The scale
weighting represents the proportionate contribution of each task to the total project
in percentage terms, thereby enabling the calculation of Earned Value (EV),
Planned Value (PV), and Actual Cost (AC) indicators, even without actual cost
data. The project data from the fifth amendment (baseline) and work progress up
to the 91st week (tracking) were input into MS Project to calculate the EVM
indicators, which include EV value, variances, performance indices, and project
completion estimates. The analysis results show that overall, the project is
progressing according to the planned cost and schedule based on the fifth
amendment. However, for preparation and electrical work, it is estimated that the
project can still be completed within the available budget, although there is limited
room for cost overruns.
