ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the competition in the printing industry in Pekanbaru City. The data used are primary data and skunder data. The population and sample in the study are the printing industry in Pekanbaru City which amounts to 11 business units. This study uses quantitative descriptive analysis to determine the business competition conditions of the printing industry in Pekanbaru City. The analytical test tool used in this study is the porter analysis. The results of porter's analysis research can be seen that the competitive conditions in this industry are quite high because the number of printing industry businesses is quite a lot and selling prices are almost the same, New entrants for the last year do not exist then the obstacles to the industry include quite low, The threat of substitute products can be a threat to profitability and competitiveness in the industry because the prices offered are not much different, The bargaining power of suppliers is low to play the price because raw materials are widely available, the bargaining power of buyers is unable to control prices.
