Struktur Komunitas Bivalva Di Perairan Pesisir Teluk Sungai Pisang Kecamatan Bungus Teluk Kabung Kota Padang Sumatera Barat
Abstract
Bivalve is commonly inhabit the coastal waters of the Sungai Pisang Bay. A research
aims to understand the structure of bivalve community in this area was conducted in
February – April 2021. The bivalve samples were collected manually at 3 stations. In
each station, there were one belt transect that consisting 10 sampling plots (1m x 1m).
Sampling was conducted twice, once/ month. Bivalve present inside the plot were
taken. Results showed that there were 12 species of bivalves, namely Barbatia
foliata, Fragum unedo, Trachycardium rugosum, Asaphis deflorata, A. violascens,
Psammotaea elongata, Septifer bilocularis, Marcia hiantina, Gafrarium pectinatum,
G.tumidum, Periglypta puerpera and Tapes sulcarius. The bivalve abundance ranged
from 4.30 to 7.30 organisms/m2. The value of diversity index (H') was 2.33-2.78, the
uniformity index (E') was 0.90-0.93, and the dominance index (C') was 0.16-0.22.
The water quality parameters were as follows: temperature 30-33 oC; water pH 7; soil
pH 6-7; salinity 27-35 o/oo; dissolved oxygen 5.95-6.94 mg/l and substrate sandy
gravel, gravely sand and sandy mud with organic matter 12.35-15.19%.
