ABSTRACT
The Soft Starting module made can be used for a 3-phase induction motor with a maximum specification of 2 HP to keep the components from the resulting starting current, with a soft starting process time of 10 seconds and has a tool working rating with a maximum current of 16 A and a voltage of 220 V AC, this rating is based on the triac rating as the main component of the AC voltage control power circuit. An ATmega328 microcontroller with an arduino platform as the main control tool and can properly manage the triggering process of the three triacs so that they can run simultaneously. Triac ignition starts at 132 degrees to 0 degrees so that the resulting voltage starts from 85.62 V to 234.67 V in the test with an incandescent lamp load. The peak current using Direct Starting on Line is 2.56 A at 1 second while the peak current using Soft Starting Starting is 1.03 A at second 2
