Peran Credit union Modification dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Jemaat di HKBP Immanuel Dumai
This research is motivated by the fact that credit unions within the HKBP community have become an essential instrument in improving the welfare of the congregation. By combining cooperative principles and religious values, the church's credit union aims to increase access to financial services, strengthen social networks, and promote economic well-being among its members. The presence of credit unions within the HKBP community not only helps individuals manage their finances but also strengthens the sense of community and solidarity within the church. HKBP Immanuel Dumai, as part of an active Christian community, sees the potential of credit unions as a tool to improve the welfare of its congregation. By implementing a credit union model, the church can provide better access to financial services for its members, who often face challenges in obtaining loans or savings from traditional financial institutions. Additionally, the credit union at HKBP Immanuel Dumai serves as a platform for building solidarity and trust among members, which are essential values within the church community. This research shows that the Credit Union Modification (CUM) at HKBP Immanuel Dumai has provided significant benefits for its members in several ways. These benefits are not only financial but also social. Some of the advantages experienced by members include access to capital, as members can more easily obtain funds to grow their businesses. The capital from CUM is used to purchase equipment and expand business activities, which in turn enhances the economic well-being of families. Financial education is another benefit, with CUM providing guidance on wise financial management, helping members plan and manage their family finances more effectively. Social and economic support is also offered; through the social network established within CUM, members receive both financial and social support. This creates solidarity that transcends religious and background boundaries, ultimately strengthening the community as a whole.
