This study aims to improve speaking skills in children aged 5-6 years
in early childhood PAUD SINAR KASIH Bagan Siapiapi Rokan Hilir through pictorial
word card media. The subject of the study of this class action is 5-6 years old children
early childhood PAUD SINAR KASIH Bagan Siaiapi Rokan Hilir in the second
semester (even) in the academic year 2015/2016 with the study subjects were 10
children. This action research using quantitative descriptive analysis method to collect
data observed during the learning process in the classroom. This research was
conducted with two cycles each cycle performed three meetings. The results showed
that in the first cycle is the percentage of children's speech 57.08% are in the category
of developing according to expectations. An increase in the second cycle into 80.83% in
the category is growing very well, it indicates that there is an increased ability to speak
in children aged 5-6 years in PAUD SINAR KASIH Bagan Siapiapi chart Rokan Hilir.
in the first cycle and the second cycle an increase of 41.60%. So through the medium of
pictorial word card can enhance the ability to speak at 5-6 years age in PAUD SINAR
KASIH Bagan Siapiapi Rokan Hilir.
