Uji Konsentrasi Beberapa Ekstrak Tepung Insektisida Nabati Terhadap Mortalitas Hama Wereng Coklat (Nilaparvata Lugens Stall)
Rice is the staple food most of indonesian people. Brown planthopper is one of the major pests of rice plants. Pest control of brown planthopper commonly used synthetic insecticide. The unwise use of synthetic insecticide cause negative impacts, therefore needed safer alternative control is using organic insecticide. Plant used as a organic insecticide such as kirinyuh leaf (Chromolaena odorata L.), tuba roots (Derris elliptica Benth), soursop leaf (Annona muricata L.), betel forest leaf (Piper aduncum L.) and neem leaf (Azadirachta indica A. Juss). The aim of this research is to get the best organic insecticide powder extract to control the brown planthopper of rice plant. The research was undertaken at the laboratory of Plant Pests, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru from October to December 2017. The research was conducted experimentally by using completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of six treatments and repeated four times. The treatment given is without organic insecticide powder extract, kirinyuh leaf powder extract, tuba root powder extract, soursop leaf powder extract, betel forest leaf powder extract and neem leaf powder extract. The research result shows that betel forest leaf powder extract tends to be better in deadly brown planthopper with the start time of death during 2,00 hours, lethal time 50 during 12,75 hours and total mortality of brown planthopper 97,5%.
