Kerjasama Jakarta Animal Aid Network Dan Ric O’ Barrys Dolphin Project Dalam Menangani Kasus Sirkus Lumba-Lumba Di Indoesia Tahun 2013-2019

Circus for some people is considered as entertainment and educational media. But many
people do not know that in fact the circus is an exploitation of protected wildlife. One of them is
dolphin. The dolphins used are the types of bottlenecks whose species have been listed in the
International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Jakarta Animal Aid Network
Organization and Ric O 'Barrys Dolphin Project in collaboration to create an advocacy strategy
to stop the circus of dolphins in Indonesia in 2013-2019.
In this study, researchers used constructivist theory and the concept of Transnational
Advocacy Network. The author uses these theories and concepts to facilitate the writer in
analyzing how the role of JAAN and ROB in handling the case of the dolphin cyclone in
Indonesia.
Can the writer conclude, JAAN and ROB took several actions to handle the case of the
circus dolphin. Namely, JAAN and Ric O'Barry made an inventory of all dolphins in artificial
ponds nationwide to find out the condition of the dolphin population, JAAN and Ric O'Barry
covered the legal loophole that allowed circus dolphins and commercial facilities to have
animals under the pretext of being 'saved', Management of mammals must be regulated under
the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
