Analisa Defect Roll Berdasarkan Perbedaan Grade Kertas Pada Hasil Produksi Winder
ABSTRACT
Defective products are products that have the form of a finished product, but in a condition that is not in accordance with the standards set by the company. Products that experience defects affect the amount of production and production time if the product must be remade. The purpose of the analysis is to find the number of defects, the grade of paper that has defects, the effect of differences in the physical properties of paper on defects, and the mitigation that can be done. The method of data collection is secondary data from the defect roll in PMIS (Project Management Information System) for recorded data from December 2024 to February 2025. Based on the results of the analysis from December 2024 to February 2025, the number of defective rolls in PM A was 149 rolls, 158 rolls, and 92 rolls, respectively. While in PM B respectively 97 roll, 49 roll, and 94 roll. Of all the paper grades with defects, IR09085C is the paper grade with the highest number of defects at 96 rolls. In paper grade IR09085C, high grammage, thickness, and tensile strength values result in a high number of defects. There are 4 factors that influence the occurrence of defects, namely man, method, material, and machine factors. To overcome the occurrence of defects, mitigations that can be done such as adjust tension, adjust speed, adjust rider roll, check slitter, check trim vacuum, cleaning winder. In addition, checking the machine and jumbo roll before the rolling process needs to be done so that the risk of defects will be reduced.
