Model Pembelajaran Sejarah Lokal Berbasis Riset Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Sejarah (Historical Thinking)
Background and objectives: This research develops research-based local history learning to improve historical thinking skills. Research method: research and development research using the ADDIE model is a reference in developing a research-based local history learning model by following the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The trial was carried out at the History Education Study Program, FKIP, Riau University, which took local history courses (n=78), namely 39 students in the control group and 39 students in the experimental group. Results: The research-based local history learning model has been validated and assessed as very feasible by model expert validators, material experts and language experts. Meanwhile, the test results show that research-based local history learning models, both on a limited and expanded scale, are effective in improving historical thinking skills in the aspect of historical research skills. The research-based local history learning model also has a level of practicality that is classified as very practical because it can be used easily by students in the learning process and also helps improve their historical thinking skills. Conclusion: It can be concluded that in general the research-based local history learning model has a positive experience and can improve historical thinking skills at the level of history education students.
