The relationship or connection between a community's culture and the surrounding plant life is known as ethnobotany. Knowledge about the utilization of biodiversity varies in its practices, such as for food, traditional medicine, cultural rituals, and construction materials. One area that still practices traditional knowledge is Segamai Village.
