ENGLISH STUDENTS’ PERSPECTIVES ON USING OF QUILLBOT AS A TOOL IN IMPROVING PARAPHRASING SKILLS
This study aims to find out English students’ perspectives of using Quillbot as a tool in paraphrasing skills. The participants of this study were students in the English Study Program, FKIP Universitas Riau batch 2022. This study used quantitative descriptive research design. Additionally, the data were collected through questionnaire with validity and reliability tested using SPSS 27 and also used Interpretation of Student Perspective. The aspects of the questionnaire used Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by looking for students’ perspectives in seven aspects regarding Ease of use, Effectiveness in Improving Paraphrasing, Time Efficiency, Accuracy of Paraphrasing, Perceived Learning Outcome, Satisfaction with Quillbot, and Technical Support and Reliability. The results of this study revealed that English Study Program, FKIP Universitas Riau batch 2022 have positive perspective based on mean calculation. The overall results indicate that QuillBot is a valuable tool for students in their paraphrasing skills, making it a beneficial resource in academic writing.
