Strategi Pengelolaan Lingkungan Kawasan Penambangan Pasir Di Sungai Kampar Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar
The Kampar River has potential non-renewable resources to be utilized, specifically sand and stone, but along with the high demand for construction materials for the construction of housing, roads or other buildings, over-utilization has begun to occur. Economically, river sand mining activities have high profit prospects and are feasible, but compared to the positive impacts, the negative impacts are far greater. If the riverbed is continuously dredged, it can cause river deepening, river cliff collapse or landslides due to changes in river morphology, decreased river water quality due to rising mud to the surface of the river, reduced number of fish species and catches. In addition to the impact on the aquatic environment, sand mining activities in the Kampar River are thought to also cause social problems for the surrounding community. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct research that examines environmental problems and the impacts caused by this mining activity holistically in an effort to carry out better management.....
