Strategi Pengelolaan Ekosistem Mangrove Yang Berkelanjutan Di Desa Buruk Bakul Kecamatan Bukit Batu Kabupaten Bengkalis, Provinsi Riau
Mangrove ecosystems play a vital role in coastal resilience, biodiversity conservation, and carbon sequestration. However, these ecosystems face severe degradation due to anthropogenic activities such as deforestation, land conversion, and unsustainable exploitation. This study investigates the sustainability status of mangrove ecosystem management in Buruk Bakul Village, Riau Province, using the RAPFISH (Rapid Appraisal for Fisheries) method across five dimensions: ecological, economic, and socio-cultural. The research findings reveal an overall sustainability index of 45.3, categorizing the ecosystem as "less sustainable." The ecological dimension scored the highest (48.7), followed by the socio-cultural dimension (44.7), while the economic dimension was the weakest (40.4). Key sensitive attributes identified include: Marketing of mangrove products, Local labor absorption, Aesthetic value, Community access to mangroves, and Availability of rules and the role of non-formal institutions. These attributes serve as leverage points for improving sustainability. This study proposes an integrated strategy focusing on strengthening the mangrove-based economy, enhancing community access and participation, and reinforcing policies and institutions. By addressing these sensitive attributes, this research contributes to the formulation of holistic policies for sustainable mangrove conservation, ensuring ecological health and socio-economic benefits for coastal communities.
