persepsi siswa terhadap pembelajaran penjasorkes saat pembelajaran tatap muka di smp negeri 1 ukui
Physical Education, Sports, and Health (Penjasorkes) plays a crucial role in developing students' physical, mental, and emotional potential through physical activity. The COVID-19 pandemic brought significant changes to learning methods, from face-to-face to online, which impacted the effectiveness of Penjasorkes learning. Following the implementation of the 100% face-to-face learning policy in July 2023 at SMP Negeri 1 Ukui, diverse student perceptions of this learning emerged. This study aims to explore student perceptions of Penjasorkes learning in the post-pandemic era. This study aims to determine student perceptions of Penjasorkes learning during fully face-to-face learning at SMP Negeri 1 Ukui. The results are expected to provide input for teachers, schools, and further research.
This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a survey method using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The study population was 165 students of SMP Negeri 1 Ukui, with a sample of 55 students from grades VII and VIII taken by cluster random sampling. The researcher used a Likert-scale-based questionnaire to measure students' perceptions of various indicators such as mental, intelligence, physical, social, and environmental. The validity and reliability of the instrument were tested before use. The study showed that students' perceptions of Physical Education and Health learning on mental, intelligence, physical, and environmental indicators were in the very good category, with an average percentage of 78.7%. However, the facilities and infrastructure indicator only reached the good category with an average of 74.85%. Students felt that face-to-face learning was more effective in supporting physical activity and improving physical fitness.
Face-to-face learning offers the advantage of direct interaction between students and teachers, which enhances practical and theoretical understanding of the material. However, limited infrastructure poses a barrier to optimizing the learning process. Positive student perceptions indicate that physical activity in Physical Education and Health supports character development, such as sportsmanship, cooperation, and discipline. Physical Education and Health learning during face-to-face sessions at SMP Negeri 1 Ukui received an excellent response from students, particularly in terms of mental and physical fitness. However, improvements to facilities and infrastructure are needed to support more optimal learning and improve the quality of learning post-pandemic.
