ABSTRACT
Good Corporate Governance (GCG) ensures that businesses have the right decision-making processes for all stakeholders (shareholders, employees, customers, communities and governments). One way for companies to implement Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is to ensure that the fulfillment of rights for workers goes well. However, in practice there are still companies that have not implemented this, namely PT Cahaya Karya Utama Jaya, which is a company engaged in building structures and manufacturing. The legal problems that arise are related to the implementation of the fulfillment of workers' rights and the efforts that should be made by the company so that workers' rights are fulfilled. Therefore, the research objectives of this thesis are first, the implementation of the fulfillment of workers' rights with a Specified Time Work Agreement (PKWT) at PT Cahaya Karya Utama Jaya based on the principles of accountability of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). Second, the efforts that should be made by PT Cahaya Karya Utama Jaya to carry out the obligation to fulfill the rights of workers with a Specified Time Work Agreement (PKWT) at PT Cahaya Karya Utama Jaya based on the principles of accountability of Good Corporate Governance (GCG).
This type of research can be classified into the type of sociological juridical research. With the location of this research located at PT Cahaya Karya Utama Jaya, while the population and samples are all parties related to the problem under study. This research uses data sources in the form of primary data and secondary data, and data collection techniques are carried out by means of interviews and questionnaires.
From the research results of the problem, there are two main things that can be concluded. First, the implementation of the fulfillment of workers' rights at PT Cahaya Karya Utama Jaya is still not well implemented and as expected. Second, the effort that should be made by PT Cahaya Karya Utama Jaya to carry out the obligation to fulfill workers' rights at PT Cahaya Karya Utama Jaya based on the principle of accountability of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is by improving company performance. The author's suggestion is that the fulfillment of workers' rights at PT. Cahaya Karya Utama Jaya can be achieved if the company, as the employer, implements applicable laws and regulations and prioritizes the interests of both parties. Second, in terms of the efforts that should be made by the company in fulfilling its obligations regarding workers' rights, the company must improve management oversight and conduct evaluations and training for managers.
