junior high school english teachers’ perception of merdeka curriculum: a survey study in gunung sahilan
Merdeka Curriculum is a term used for the curriculum changes currently in use. The
purpose of this research is to determine the perceptions of Junior High School
English teachers in Gunung Sahilan towards the Merdeka Curriculum. This research
uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type. The method used is a survey,
and the respondents in this study are English teachers from all of the junior high
schools in Gunung Sahilan; since the entire population is taken as a sample, this
research uses a census sample. The number of teachers who participated as
respondents is twelve from all Junior High Schools in Gunung Sahilan. The data
collection technique used is a questionnaire. In this research, the data analysis
method utilizes scoring techniques, and the data will be categorized using an
interval scale. The research results show that the perception of English teachers in
junior high schools in the Gunung Sahilan towards the Merdeka Curriculum is good.
However, several things still need to be improved in its implementation.
