Rasionalitas Penggunaan Antibiotik Pada Pasien Diare Akut Anak Di Klinik Swasta X Di Pekanbaru Periode 1 Januari – 31 Desember 2015
Diarrhea is one of the leading cause of child death worldwide. Rotavirus is the main cause of acute childhood diarrhea. Antibiotics are not given for child patients with acute diarrhea except the etiology is bacterial infection. The research aims to know the rationality of antibiotic usage in child patients with acute diarrhea in X private clinic in Pekanbaru on January 1st - December 31st 2015. This is a descriptive retrospective study that using data from patient’s medical records. The results in this study came from 224 subjects that have met the inclusion criteria. Most of patients were 0 - < 3 years old (40.6%) and the proportion between boys and girls is equal. The most clinical symptom is fever (32,1%). Antibiotics were given for 71%, with the most common used antibotic was cotrimoxazole (92.5%). The right use of antibiotic based on the safety antibiotic selection was 100%, right dosage forms was 42,5%, right frequency given was 35.6% and right dose given was 33.1%. The conclusion of this study is the antibiotics usage in X private clinic on January 1st – December 30st 2015 wasn’t rational yet.
