Prevalensi Dan Pola Sensitivitas Klebsiella Pneumoniae Penghasil Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamase Dan Resisten Meropenem Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Tahun 2015
ESBL-producing and meropenem resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae have
emerged as major problem worldwide. The objective of this study was to
determine prevalence and sensitivity pattern of ESBL producing and meropenem
resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae in Arifin Achmad General Hospital, Pekanbaru,
Indonesia. This was descriptive and retrospective study. Culture results data were
collected from all specimens which examined in Microbiology Laboratory Unit
during 2015. Identification and susceptibility test performed with Vitek 2 compact.
All the data processed by using WHOnet software. From 228 isolates of
Klebsiella pneumoniae, 66.2% were ESBL producers. Most of ESBL-producing
isolates were from sputum (69.5%), followed by pus (67.5%). According to wards,
82.4% isolates were found from Pedriatic Intensive Care Unit (PICU), 80% from
fetomaternal ward, and 78.9% from VIP. ESBL producing Klebsiella pneumoniae
most sensitive to amikasin (96.7%), meropenem (94.0%), and ertapenem (93.4%).
Meropenem resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae were 19.3%. Most isolates were
from blood (33.3%), followed by pus (20.5%). Persentage of meropenem resistant
Klebsiella pneumoniae in Pedriatic Intensive Care Unit (PICU), surgical ward,
and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) were 29.4%, 27.1%, and 25%
respectively. Meropenem resistant strains had highest sensitivity to tigesiklin
(75%) and amikasin (43.2%). The incidence of ESBL producing and meropenem
resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae in Arifin Achmad General Hospital, Riau
Province was high.
Keywords: ESBL-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae, meropenem resistant
Klebsiella pneumoniae, Riau Province, sensitivity pattern.
