Pengetahuan, Sikap Dan Tindakan Dokter Umum Praktik Swasta Terhadap Diagnosis Dan Tatalaksana Tuberkulosis Paru Berdasarkan International Standards For Tuberculosis Care (ISTC) Di Kabupaten Kampar
Indonesia is the second country with highest burden pulmonary tuberculosis (TB)
cases world wide. Riau province is one of the province with low Case Detection
Rate (CDR) in 2015 that was 43%. Private general practitioners (PGPs) become a
pillar to diagnosis and management pulmonary tuberculosis based on International
Standards for Tuberculosis Care (ISTC). This study aimed to determined
knowledge, attitude and practice PGPs about diagnosis and management
pulmonary tuberculosis based on ISTC. This study was a descriptive study with
cross sectional approach. Instrument in this study using questionnaire that was
collected amongst 64 PGPs at Kampar Regency on Desember 2016 – Januari
2017. Out of 64 PGPs who were answered the questionnaire, only 22 (34.8%)
PGPs who were followed ISTC training, 29 (45.3%) PGPs had good knowledge, 24
(37.5%) PGPs had moderate knowledge, and (17.2%) PGPs had low knowledge
toward diagnosis and management pulmonary tuberculosis based on ISTC.
Attitude of 38 PGPs (54.9%) toward diagnosis pulmonary tuberculosis were
negative, while toward management pulmonary tuberculosis, 37 PGPs (57.8%)
had positif attitude. Practice of 37 (57.8%) PGPs was moderate. Practice of PGPs
which only privat practicion toward management pulmonary tuberculosis were
good. The knowledge, attitude and practice of private general practitioner toward
diagnosis and management pulmonary tuberculosis based on ISTC at Kampar
Regency were good, but ISTC’s training for PGPs were needed to upgraded
knowledge about pulmonary tuberculosis.
