Persepsi Guru Dan Siswa Terhadap Obesitas Dan Peran Sekolah Dalam Pengelolaan Obesitas Remaja Studi Kasus Pada 3 SMA Di Kota Pekanbaru

In many countries in the world, the prevelance of obesity is rapidly increasing especially in children and adolescents population. The mischieved perception of obesity is one of the factors affecting management obesity successful in the school. Another factors is the teachers have lack of role in adolescents obesity management. Good perception of obesity is very important to preverent because can be supporting factors that can make them to do healthy habits. The purpose of this research is to reveal the teachers and students perception to obesity and schools role in management of adolescents obesity. This was a qualitative research with explorative study plan. The research was conducted in SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru, SMA Santa Maria Pekanbaru, and SMK Negeri 3 Pekanbaru. The results of the research showed that the teachers and students knowledge about obesity was good, but their knowledge of obesity controlling and prevention was not good. The teachers and students considered that the school still doesn’t play a significant role management. This research suggests that the schools can take specific action for a better man.
