Gambaraan Faal Paru Petugas Pengisi Bahan Bakar Di Spbu Jalan Arifin Ahmad Dan Jalan Tuanku Tambusai Kota Pekanbaru
Gas station is public infrastructure from PT. Pertamina to fulfill people’s need of gasoline. Gasoline is a mixture of more than 500 volatile hydrocarbon compounds. Most concerned hydrocarbon compounds in research on health problems due to exposure to gasoline is benzene. Inhalation of benzene 300 ppm for 7 days could induce apoptosis changes in lung parenchyma. One of the gas station workers who are often exposed to benzene are the petrol filling workers. Gas station in Tuanku Tambusai street and Arifin Ahmad street Pekanbaru have been established for a long time and located on the main road. This study was a descriptive study that aims to describe pulmonary function of petrol filling workers in 2016. The sample in this study were 34 petrol filling workers. The result showed that 4 petrol filling workers (12%) had impaired lung function, consist of 3 peoples (9%) had obstructive pulmonary disorders and 1 people (3%) had restrictive pulmonary disorder. Most petrol filling worker diagnosed with impaired lung function were the petrol filling worker that aged 25-30 years, female gender, normal nutritional status, with work length >3 years, non smoker, and petrol filling worker who did not use mask Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the workplace.
