Pengetahuan, Sikap Dan Tindakan Dokter Umum Praktik Swasta Terhadap Diagnosis Dan Tata Laksana Tuberkulosis Paru Berdasarkan International Standards For Tuberculosis Care (ISTC) Di Kabupaten Siak

Indonesia is a second country with burden pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) cases worldwide in 2015. Case notification rate (CNR) of Riau Province is low especially in Siak Regency which is 73 cases in 100.000 people in 2014. Private general practitioners (PGPs) become the pillar in managing pulmonary TB cases. This study was a descriptive study with cross sectional approach using questionnaire to determine knowledge, attitude and practice of private general practitioner towards pulmonary TB’s diagnosis and management based on International Standards for Tuberculosis Care (ISTC). Sample for this study is 54 PGPs in Siak Regency who has practice licenses and agreed to participate in answering the quetionnaire on Desember 2016 – February 2017. This study obtained most of PGPs (63,0%) have good knowledge, 55,6% have positive attitude and 48,1% have good practice. Even though most of the PGPs have heard about ISTC (66,7%) but, it is only about 3,74% have good knowledge and 57,4% have less knowledge toward diagnosis pulmonary tuberculosis. Training about ISTC is needed to upgraded knowledge about diagnosis for pulmonary tuberculosis.
