Profil Trauma Urethra Di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode 2011-2016
Urethral trauma is one of urological trauma. Urethral trauma still a health issue because the increasing incidence and cause an increase in morbidity. Therefore it is important to know the profile of urethral trauma by age, gender, clinical symptom, etiology, examination of radiology, classification, management, and complication. This research used a descriptive study. The research was conducted in Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital in Pekanbaru of Riau Province involving 24 patient medical records by total sampling. The result showed urethral trauma cases occurred mostly in age 17-25 years old,26-35 years old, and 46-55 years old which was 5 (20,8%)patients each group and all of the patient was male. Most frequent symptom was urinary retention in 17(70.8%) patients. Most frequent etiology was blunt trauma (87.5%). The most used radiology imaging was urethrography in 13(54.2%) patients. Based on anatomical classification, anterior urethral trauma was the most frequent case which was 14(58.3%) patients. Most frequent treatment for urethral trauma was cystostomy then urethroscopy+re-alignment of urethra, and urethroscopy+ re-alignment of urethra which was 10(41.7%) patients each of them. Urethral stricture was the only complication of urethral trauma which occurred in 10(41.7%) patients and the most frequent time of the complication formed were 1-90 days after the trauma. From this research we can conclude that urethral trauma cases occurred mostly in productive ages which the most frequent case was anterior urethral trauma and almost half the cases caused urethral stricture which formed 1-90 days after trauma.
