Ketepatan Penggunaan Antibiotik Pada Pasien Gastroenteritis Dewasa Di Bangsal Rawat Inap Rumah Sakit Swasta X Pekanbaru Tahun 2016
Gastroenteritis or diarrhea is a change that occurs in defecation, both changes in frequency and consistency of defecation. The most common cause of gastroenteritis is bacteria, whose treatment requires antibiotics. Antibiotics should be selected or used rationally to avoid unexpected resistance, toxicity and side effects, and increased medical costs. This research purpose is to know appropriateness of antibiotic use on hospitalized adult patient with gastroenteritis in private hospitaly pekanbaru 2016. The research method used is retrospective descriptive using secondary data in the form of medical records. Sampling using total sampling technique, and obtained as many as 100 subject that meet the inclusion criteria. The results of this study were found to be mostly female (68%), age> 55 years (29%), all patients had normal renal function, duration of 1-3 days (54%), the condition of patients out of the room was healed , mostly using the Universal Health Insurance 49%. The appropriateness of choosing the antibiotics to the patient are 57.8%. The appropriateness duration of antibiotic use can not be in value because there is a limitation of the researcher, appropriateness rute of administration of the antibiotics was 97.5%, appropriateness interval of giving the antibiotics was 76%, appropriateness of antibiotics dose was 89.25%.
