Pola Penggunaan Obat Pada Pasien Geriatri Yang Dirawat Inap Di Bangsal Penyakit Dalam Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Tahun 2016

Geriatric patients are elderly patients with multiple diseases due to decreased organ, psychological, social, economic and environmental function. All these circumstances cause patients to receive treatment of many kinds. With the number of drugs the patient swallows will certainly happen polifarmasi and drug interactions that can cause mortality. The research method used is descriptive with cross-sectional approach. Sources of data were taken from medical records of geriatric patients who were hospitalized in hospital wards in RSUD Arifin Achmad Riau Province, 2016. Based on patient characteristics, age most were 60-69 years as many as 65.6% more men than women. The most diagnosis is a patient with digestive system disorder 28,5%. The length of hospitalization at most> 6 days 36% with the most out patient condition is improvement of condition 68,6%. The type of drug that is often given is a gastrointestinal drug 32.1%. The amount of drugs consumed by patients every day 1-5 drugs 50.3% with polypharmacy 49.7%.
