Hubungan Intensitas Nyeri Dengan Kualitas Tidur Pada Lansia Di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Khusnul Khotimah Provinsi Riau
Aging is a process that can changea healthy person into a weakness. Increasing age will leadfunctional decline including quality of sleep. In Indonesia, sleep disorders affect about 50% in the elderly, in which one of the factors that can cause decreased quality of sleep is pain.This study is aimedat investigating the correlation between pain intensity and quality of sleep of the elderly.This study was an analytical cross-sectional study.The number of sample in this study was 32 elderlies. The sampling method was total sampling technique. The data collection was conducted on March 2018 at Riau Institutional Care. The research was conducted by interviewing elderlies that consist of the respondent data, Numerical Rating Scales, and Pittsburgh SleepQuality Index.The result of this study showed that 27 elderlies had pain history (84.37%) with respectivelymild pain (21.87%), moderate (37.5%), and severe (25%). Meanwhile, the data of sleep quality obtained were 28,12% experienced better sleep quality and 71,88% had poor sleep quality.Based on the components of sleep quality, in general older adults had a fairly good of subjective sleep quality (59.38%), sleep latency >60 minutes (50%), sleep duration85% (40.63%), once or twice a week of sleep disturbances (34.38%), no usage of sleeping medications for the past month (96.88%), andless than once a week of daytime dysfunction (56.25%).
