Gambaran Histopatologi Substansia Nigra Mencit (Mus Musculus) Setelah Pemaparan Paraquat
Paraquat is herbicides that have a high level of effectiveness in tackling weeds, but have toxic effects on human and environment. One of the toxic effects is decreased dopamine contents in brain. Purpose of this research was to know the effects of paraquat on the histopathology of substantia nigra of mice (Mus musculus). This was experimental research with post test design only with control and inlcuded 15 mices which were divided to control group, dose of mice given paraquat 25, 50, 75 and 100 mg/kgBody/day of paraquat for 7 days by spraying. The results showed increased glia cells and edema by giving paraquat with dose of 25, 50, 75 and 100 mg/kgBody. The study showed there was significant correlation between the damage of histopathology substantia nigra of mice with increased doses of paraquat exposure for 7 days (p=0.008). In conclusion, there are significant changes in substantia nigra overview of mice after paraquat exposure for 7 days. Keywords: brain, histopathology of substantia nigra, paraquat
