Profil Status Gizi Murid Dengan Miopia Di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 106 Pekanbaru Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir
Myopia is a condition where the near object is clearly visible, but the distant object is blurred. Factors influencing the myopia are age, sex, history of breast milk consumption, heredity, genetic, nutritional status, smoking and history of metabolic diseases such as hypertension or diabetes mellitus (DM). This study purposed to determine the prevalence of myopia based on age, class, sex and nutritional status in pupils of SDN 106 Pekanbaru. This was a descriptive observational study with cross sectional approach involving 582 students. Visus examination was done to detect myopia and BMI was used to examine nutritional status according to age and gender on students suffering from myopia. The results showed that the prevalence of myopia in pupils of SDN 106 Pekanbaru was 71 students (12.19%). Most students with myopia aged 11-13 years (14,7%), moreover as many as 29% of 6th grader students suffered myopia and 16,2% female students suffered from myopia. Student with myopia were mostly classified into normal weight (64,1%). Keywords: age, BMI, myopia, sex
