Evaluasi Penggunaan Antibiotik Profilaksis Pada Operasi Seksio Sesarea Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Oktober – November 2017
Antibiotic prophylaxis is a part of infection prevention. The antibiotic given to the patients has a purpose to minimize the number of bacterial colony and inoculum contamination so it will decrease the risk of infection. The aim of this research is to find out the use of antibiotic prophylaxis on sectio caesarea on Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital, Riau. The design of this research was descriptive retrospective by using secondary data from medical records. It was got 64 subjects which accomplished inclusion criteria. According to the types of antibiotic prophylaxis, the highest frequency was accordance to recommendation (67.2%), cephazolin or ampicillin/sulbactam. The time for giving the antibiotic prophylaxis was not accordance to recommendation (60.9%), 30 minutes to 1 hour before the surgery. The dose of antibiotic prophylaxis given was not accordance to recommendation dose based on the guideline (89.1%). The duration for giving antibiotic prophylaxis was accordance to recommendation (71.9%), single dose. The route for giving antibiotic prophylaxis was accordance to recommendation (100%), through intravenous. From this research, it was found that the type, duration, and route for giving antibiotic prophylaxis were accordance to the guideline, while the time and dose were not.
