Sifat Mekanis Dan Porositas Beton Blended Abu Terbang Serat Daun Nanas Dengan Treatment Naoh
ABSTRACT
Concrete has low tensile strength and large porosity, affecting its
mechanical and physical properties. This study aims to examine the mechanical
properties and porosity of the concrete. A 28 days immersion and room
temperature of blended fly ash concrete with pineapple leaf fiber treated with
NaOH were studied. Fly ash substitution in the concrete mixture was 10 percent.
The volume variations of fiber used were 0 (control concrete), 0.3, and 0.6
percent of the concrete mix volume. The NaOH concentrations utilized for fiber
treatment were 1.25M, 2.75M, and without NaOH. The tests were compressive,
split tensile, and porosity. The results showed that the highest compressive
strength value was obtain from the addition of pineapple leaf fiber 0.3 percent
with NaOH 1.25M treatment on concrete immersed, there was an increase 21.39
percent of control concrete. It has a reduced porosity value and a porosity
percentage that is similar to the control concrete. 0.3 percent fiber variation
without NaOH on concrete immersed had the highest tensile strength value and
increased by 26.56% of control concrete. Based on the test results, the use of
pineapple leaf fiber in blended fly ash concrete can improved mechanical
properties and reduced porosity.
