Pengembangan Bumdes Kuala Alam Dengan Pembentukan Unit Usaha Baru Di Desa Kuala Alam Kabupaten Bengkalis

Bengkalis Regency has 11 sub-districts with a total of 136 villages. Each village has 1 (one) BUMDes business unit. Some where on average BUMDes only run UED-SP as their business unit. Many innovations carried out by BUMDES in Bengkalis Regency are no longer active. Only a few innovative business units survive. BUMDes Kuala Alam has developed its business units. The development of Kuala Alam BUMDes units is by establishing business units that previously only had 1 business unit. Since 2020 it has grown to 4 units. Each unit is in charge of a different type of business consisting of: 1) Kuala Makmur Plantation Unit, 2) Kuala Sejahtera Trade and Services Business Unit, 3) Bathin Alam Savings and Loans Unit (USP), 4) Kuala Karya Processing Unit. With the newly formed unit, business management is more focused. The purpose of this study 1) To analyze the pattern of development carried out by BUMDes Kuala Alam, 2) To find out the factors that hinder the development of BUMDes Kuala Alam in forming a new business unit in Kuala Alam Village, Bengkalis Regency. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach.
The results of this study are by using the Kotter change step it can be seen that the development of the Kuala Alam BUMDes is still not in accordance with the Kotter development steps, this can be seen from the indicators that show the development carried out by the Kuala Alam BUMDes in stages 2, 4, 5, namely creating a guiding coalition, communicating the vision of change and empowering employees to take action, there are still members who do not attend meetings and there is still a lack of skilled human resources for development. The inhibiting factors found by Nature include: 1) Lack of communication of vision, 2) Too soon to declare victory. 3). Legality of MSME business licenses.
