Dampak Deforestasi Terhadap Pendapatan Petani Madu Sialang Di Kampung Koto Ringin, Kecamatan Mempura, Kabupaten Siak

ABSTRACT
This research was motivated by deforestation that occurred in Riau Province, especially in Siak Regency, which caused the Apis Dorsata / sialang bees to depend on forest sustainability. This study aims to find out whether deforestation has resulted in a decrease in sialang honey production and to find out whether there has been a decrease in the income level of sialang honey farmers in Koto Ringin Village, Mempura District, Siak Regency. The data in this study were sobtained from the results of questionnaires and interviews with sialang honey farmers and secondary data. This study uses a quantitative descriptive analysis method to describe the impact of deforestation on production and income of sialang honey farmers and determine the total income earned by sialang honey farmers. The results in this study stated that deforestation that occurred in Koto Ringin Village, Mempura District, Siak Regency had an impact on decreasing the honey production of Apis Dorsata / sialang bees but was not the main cause. Weather conditions such as rain and smog are the main causes of the decline in apis dorsata/ sialang bee honey production. The income of sialang honey farmers in Koto Ringin Village, Mempura District, Siak Regency in one harvest season is IDR 730,000. This income can be said to be relative, which means it can increase or decrease depending on the influence of the annual weather/climate.
