Prarancangan Pabrik Butiraldehid Dari Propilen Dan Syngas Dengan Desain Alat Utama Menara Distilasi (T-101)
Pre-design of a Butyraldehyde Plant with the Main Equipment Design of a Distillation Tower has a production capacity of 50,000 tons/year. The raw materials used in designing the butyraldehyde plant are Propylene and Syngas. The process used is the Hydroformylation or Oxo process. The raw material preparation process begins by changing the pressure and temperature of propylene and syngas to 18 bar and 90oC. Propylene and syngas are flowed to the CSTR reactor to carry out the hydroformylation process to become butyraldehyde with a rhodium triphenylpospine catalyst. The butyraldehyde formed is then flowed to the knockout drum for the process of classifying the main product, by-products and catalyst based on phase. The knockout drum output is then channeled to distillation I to separate butyraldehyde from propylene and syngas to be recycled using the principle of boiling point difference. The separated butyraldehyde then flows to distillation tower II to be purified. The purified butyraldehyde is flowed to the butyraldehyde storage tank, while the butiraldehyde isomer, namely iso-butiraldehyde, is flowed to the iso-butyraldehyde storage tank. The results of the economic feasibility analysis from PT. ESENHA GREEN CHEMICAL's Pay Back Period is 3.56 Years, Internal Rate of Return is 28.26%, Return of Investment is 27.17% and Break Even Point is 3.5 years.
