Prarancangan Pabrik Kalsium Hidroksida Dari Kalsium Oksida Dan Air Dengan Desain Alat Utama Ball Mill (Sr-102)
Kalsium Hydroxide is a product that is needed by many downstream industry. Kalsium Hydroxide use as a raw material in the gypsum industry, Dicalcium Phospate Dihydrate (DCPD) industry, citrat acid industry, paper industry, and sugar industry. The main raw material used is calcium oxide which hydrated with water. This factory is planned to operate for 330 days for year and work continuosly 24 hours/day with a capacity of 100,000 tons/year which will be established in the Gresik, Jawa Timur. The company form chosen is a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organizational system. The employee work system is based on the division of working hours consisting of shift and non-shift employees. The major equipment design in this plant is a Ball Mill (SR-102) with dry grate discharge type to reduce size of calcium hydroxide. This dry grate discharge reactor is operated at a pressure of 1 atm and a temperature of 92,5⁰C. Economic analysis in the design of this factory shows that this factory is feasible to build. With a Break Event Point (BEP) value of 40,002%, Pay Back Period (PBP) of 1 year 8 months, Rate of Investment (ROI) of 46.438%, and Interest Rate of Return (IRR) of 22.77%.
