Perancangan Mal Pelayanan Publik Di Kota Bagan Siapi-Api Dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Modern

ABSTRACT
The population of Rokan Hilir Regency has increased every year, the factors causing
the increase in the population of Rokan Hilir Regency are the high birth rate which
is influenced by local social and cultural factors, then the immigrant factor is one of
the important causes of population growth in Rokan. From this increase, of course,
there will also be an increase in services to the community, of course this provides a
service solution for the community in a building in the form of a Public Service Mall
as a place for service activities to the interests of the community. In the Design of
this Public Service Mall, there is a design concept based on analysis, there is a
method in designing this Public Service Mall, namely the Glass Box Method (whitebox
testing) which focuses on testing the internal structure and logic of the code in
the software. In this approach, the tester has a full understanding of the source code,
architecture, and execution flow of the program being tested. Then, the Modern
Architectural Approach to the design of the Public Service Mall in Bagan Siapi-Api
City is carried out with a Modern Architectural style that prioritizes function over
form, making it in accordance with the function of the building as a service center
and office. The concept of modern architecture will be applied to every aspect of the
building, both in terms of form, material selection, material application, space
management to its service system. The design of the Public Service Mall in Bagan
Siapi-Api City with a Modern Architectural Approach triggers the development of a
more modern and advanced era that can encourage innovation in design and energy
efficiency, create more open and functional spaces, and lead to the development of
more sustainable infrastructure, as well as being a symbol of progress and
government innovation in the development of Public Service Malls that are
responsive to the needs of the Rokan Hilir community.
