Penerapan Responsive Environment Pada Perancangan Pusat Komunitas Pencinta Alam Di Kota Duri
ABSTRACT
The city of Duri holds an important role in Indonesia's economy as a major producer of crude oil. However, the city faces serious challenges in the form of forest and land fires (Karhutla), which are largely caused by human activities. Forest and land fires not only cause significant economic losses, but also impact the health, ecological damage, and daily activities of the community. The Nature Enthusiasts Community in Duri City has programs that have the potential to improve community welfare through the development of ecotourism, environmental education, and social activities. However, this community has not been facilitated properly. For this reason, it is necessary to design a Nature Enthusiasts Community Center with a Responsive Environment approach. This approach aims to create a physical space that is adaptive, flexible, and responsive to user needs, which in turn can improve community welfare and support the activities of the Nature Enthusiasts Community in Duri City. This approach uses 7 design principles, namely Permeability, Variety, Legibility, Robustness, Visual Approprietness, Richness, and Personality to produce a comfortable design for the Nature Enthusiasts Community. The architectural design method used is the glass box method with a five-step design-process which is a stage consisting of, preparation stage, planning stage, proposal, evaluation, and action. Designing with a responsive environment approach produces facilities and facilities for the Nature Enthusiasts Community both in education, social, and recreation.
