“Pengaruh Konsentrasi Liquor Terhadap Produksi Chlorine Dioxide Solution”
ABSTRACT
Liquor or called liquid or solution is a solution of sodium chlorate and sodium chloride reacted in the electrolyzer. Strong sodium chlorate from the electrolizer and sodium chloride from the hcl syntesis unit are reacted in the generator to form chlorine dioxide gas, chlorine gas, and salt. The chlorine dioxide gas is absorbed in the absorber by contacting chilled water to produce chlorine dioxide solution which is used in bleaching plants. The Integrated ClO2 plant produces chlorine dioxide solution with a production capacity of ± 11 tons per day, but at the same production rate it often does not reach the target capacity. The idea described in this final project report is “Effect of Liquor Concentration on Chlorine Dioxide Solution Production” which aims to determine the effect of liquor (chlorate) concentration on the production of chlorine dioxide solution at a production rate of 95% and to determine the effect of flow and temperature of chilled water on the production of chlorine dioxide solution at a production rate of 95%. Data collection used in this study was carried out secondarily through PI (Plant Information) trends and laboratory logsheets and then processed and analyzed in the form of graphs (scatter). Based on the results of the analysis that has been done, it is obtained that the value of liquor (chlorate) concentration and flow chilled water is directly proportional to the production of chlorine dioxide solution produced. While the value of chilled water temperature is inversely proportional to the production of chlorine dioxide solution produced.
